Current News
Well done to Jo and Ben! Johanna had an amazing walk in the Australian National 20km Championship at the end of her 2 month stay in Oz, recording a time of 1-31-40 which not only knocked around 5 minutes off her PB but in the process smashed the female 20km British record. This record is well deserved after the training Jo has put in and it should see her on the plane to Beijing where we all hope she can go even quicker and produce another amazing performance.
Ben Wears has also made people sit up and take note after his awesome debut at 20km. Ben clocked a time of 1-32-38 which places him first in the current UK rankings and at only 17 he is sure to make some big waves in the sport for many years to come.
Lets hope that the success continues and Redcar can bring race walking back to the big time!
